Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
Another great episode on Drew's podcast with ER. Loved it and enjoyed it. Thank you for the person who did all the summaries. I loved the little anecdotes in this ep by ER. A lot of partner mentions and other noteworthy stuff like how they love performing and making music. And how much they love and appreciate their fans. Looking forward to more fun listening podcast eps from ER!
Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
I'd say another season or two to wrap things up. At least the things that need to be wrapped up. And then have a great big send off for 20+ years of tv. It'd be nice if they stopped at a number like 25 seasons or 500 episodes, whichever comes first. How far off are they from 500 eps? If not too far and they can wrap it up within a season or two, I think it's the best way to go. It's not like they're still writing high quality or compelling stories. Even if they don't end up at 25 or 500 before it officially ends, they just need to end with finality. Not fake out like they did with Meredith's farewell. Hopefully the answer to it ending will be sooner rather than later.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 15:27I'm interested to see how long the show lasts because it kind of seems like it's winding down slowly between only having Ellen in eight episodes a season for the past 2-3 seasons and not having the vets in every single episode when there's only 18 episodes per season now.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 15:15Yeah James and Chandra are probably going to be there til the very end. They started with this show, and they said they'll stay with it until it ends. I can also see the other vets like Camilla, Kevin and Cat sticking out til the end too. Vets like Kevin is happy doing one or two side quests and projects during breaks. So I can't see someone like him leaving on his own free will. But I think Cat will stick it out til the very end too. She loves the show and more importantly Amelia too much to just leave without a real good reason.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 14:29If there are 2 people I am certain are sticking it out to the end it’s Chandra and JamesGuest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 14:20
No matter how much you don't like other cast members being brought up OP is right. Cat just is never going to leave on her own volition and because she doesn't cause trouble on set I doubt she's going to get fired either. So in the conversation of which cast member is going to leave it just makes sense that it would be Ellen because of everything OP listed or honestly maybe James just because of how old he is. I mean the man is 70
I want to say I give it one maybe two more seasons but it would be kind of cool to see them go get to 500 episodes and to achieve that they would have to do 25 seasons but have the 25th and last season only be 8 episodes long if they wanted to stop at 500 even.
Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
I just noticed that Cat is finally verified on Tik tok. Last time i checked she wasn’t.

Jesus, at least another three seasons before they even hit 500. Assuming they keep it at 18 eps each season. So the race between hitting either 25 or 500 first is pretty even. Theoretically they still could go for another five seasons. Given the popularity it still has and it still makes the network bank. But that is still longer than I'd like for it to go lol. Though I can see it wrapping things up within one or two seasons. But the show is too much of a cash cow for the network so it'll probably run much longer than we all anticipated. Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
I would like to believe that would know when to stop it despite it being a cash cow so they don't absolutely run it in to the ground. although some would argue that's already happened multiple seasons ago. Which honestly I sort of agree with because at this point the show as a whole is a shell of what it once was. Like seriously ever since covid the character barely interact if it isn't to do with a case and when they di most of the time it's the love interess.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 16:00Jesus, at least another three seasons before they even hit 500. Here's a nightmare thought: because of how popular it always is on streaming they could in theory switch it from cable and streaming to strictly just streaming and have it go on in perpetuity as long as people keep binging it (that won't happen in a million years it was just a thought I had late last night)

I think the arrangement of 18 episodes and veterans skipping two or three episodes for each one will stick for awhile. It’s a good compromise. I think the Season 24 for 16 episodes to hit 500 will be a great scenario to end an iconic show. But damn can they wiggle their budget to get good writersGuest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 16:00Jesus, at least another three seasons before they even hit 500. Assuming they keep it at 18 eps each season. Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
Before I crunched the numbers again I liked The idea of a shortened season 25 to hit 500 episodes that was only 8 or 9 episodes long to parallel the first season only being 9 but that doesn't make sense anymore because they would hit 500 by the end of a 16 episode season 24. Maybe if they did an extremely shortened season like that though the vets would be in every single episode.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 16:27I think the arrangement of 18 episodes and veterans skipping two or three episodes for each one will stick for awhile. Yeah, can’t wait for them tone on Dylan’s - hopefully soon! Waiting for the pretty gay pod (Patreon only) they filmed like back in feb I think.
Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
I could see it if the right thing came along. I don't think she would do something like bridgerton for a reason I can't quite articulate. I've always sort of wanted a private practice reunion movie special and I think if the exact right timing and story came up the entire cast could be game even Kate Walsh who lives in Australia now. That entire cast seems to love each other so much and would probably jump at the chance to work together again and it would be a way to see Amelia again.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 16:37A shortened season will be great to end the show. Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
I'm not surprised ER has a 4.0 GPA. With how eloquently they speak, is an avid reader, always learning for more knowledge and actually knows their shit when talking, no surprise they're a 4.0. Some people sound like they're bullshitting when talking on topics they supposedly have good knowledge in. But ER has never come across like that to me. Plus they have an academic mother, that's going to contribute in a way. ER has always struck me as the kind of person who is just good at things. Like throw anything at them, give them some time and they will excel. Not everyone can do that. Handy when they're a multi-talented artist. But annoying for the rest of us lol with not as many talents.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 19:34Don't mean it as an insult but ER being a 4.0 GPA was an unexpected surprise.

Someone should have posted a disclaimer. I wasn't ready to hear ER talk about their sexual experiences with men.

Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
Drew's pod is one of those where you know ER will be able to talk at length. And not just utter three words before being rudely cut off. I enjoyed ER's first ep with Drew and I loved the second ep. Also loved watching the vid as well. That's always fun. Drew's pod sounds like two friends sitting down having a conversation, instead of an interview like some other pods with a lot of time wasting. Also, another bonus point to Drew for the eps being long as well. A solid hour and a half of yapping and anecdotes, it's what we love to see.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 16:14Yes, I loved this one, a really good listen! I also loved the discussion around trans. Drew is one of my favorite podcast hosts, and always lets her guests talk. Jockular is good at this too even with 3 hosts.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 15:30Another great episode on Drew's podcast with ER.
Nah, it’s when people purposely drag out general Grey’s talk and other actors and storylines that have nothing to do with Amelia. That’s when we care enough to tell them to go somewhere else. You on the other hand make these stupid comments every time ER is brought up. Like just leave the thread.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 19:53You all care enough to comment when people talk about amelia and greys so yesGuest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 19:48but you cared enough to comment.. that lowkey defeats the purpose of not caringGuest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 19:46Don’t careGuest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 19:45

Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
If Grey’s was still filming it would have been fun to have Cat do a takeover during the week of Amelia’s anniversary since they did that in 2023 and 2024, so it’ll just be a yearly thing but i think it would have been Kim anyways since she’s directing the episode
Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
I'm not particularly surprised they are a 4.0 but being an avid reader is necessarily always mutually exclusive with being a 4.0. some of the smartest people I know are avid readers but didn't achieve 4.0s because school and taking tests just wasn't for them.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 19:45I'm not surprised ER has a 4.0 GPA. Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
Fair point. School isn't for everyone. The measure of someone's intelligence certainly isn't down to a perfect or near perfect GPA. Or the books they read. But I'd say being able to read a book and consume information is a measure of intelligence. It requires critical thinking to consume information and understand it. Intelligence and reading is mutually exclusive. But not intelligence, reading and having a 4.0. Having a 4.0 is just the extra brownie points. Probably should have said that saying ER being an avid reader is a sign of intelligence.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 20:20I'm not particularly surprised they are a 4.0 but being an avid reader is necessarily always mutually exclusive with being a 4.0. some of the smartest people I know are avid readers but didn't achieve 4.0s because school and taking tests just wasn't for them.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 19:45I'm not surprised ER has a 4.0 GPA. Re: Kai and Amelia -Grey’s Anatomy
Yeah not everyone can do that. Like I was never the kid who could never revise or afford to not pay attention in class and still get a 4.0 at the end of the day. Like I'd just straight up fail. But I knew people who like ER could just put a tiny bit of effort into their studies but be chill 90% of the time and still just nail it. As OP said, ER is just one of those people who can do it all. They will excel at anything you throw at them to do.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 20:27I feel they are someone who can just not be serious with school and manage to catch up quickly and get a 4.0.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 20:20I'm not particularly surprised they are a 4.0 but being an avid reader is necessarily always mutually exclusive with being a 4.0. some of the smartest people I know are avid readers but didn't achieve 4.0s because school and taking tests just wasn't for them.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 19:45I'm not surprised ER has a 4.0 GPA. Would have been nice if Cat did the takeover the week of Amelia's anniversary. Would have made it extra special since it's 15 years. Wow it took them some time to verify Cat. I wonder if her not being a frequent user made the verification slower. But glad to see she's verified. She'll probably continue to use TikTok to promote stuff instead of posting personal stuff.Guest wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025, 15:36I just noticed that Cat is finally verified on Tik tok.
