Listening to ER's ep on Drew's pod now. So far so good. I will try and give a summary of it all when I've finished!

ER doesn't run lines with Cat cause they say it's a relationship destroyer . They said they did that in their last relationship and it was a disaster. ER said if somebody walked in on them, they'd think Cat and ER were plugged in and was powering up on the coach like robots .

ER says they're both so busy sometimes they both get what it's like to be that busy. So sometimes it's just nice for both of them to just sit and spend time together doing nothing. ER says spending time online also zaps their brain, so they don't want to do that in their down time. And sometimes their brain just has so much going on up there, just unplugging is the best solution.

They call it "stare time", and it's when they feel the most femme. Like sometimes ER will have a day where they're just so out of it, so burnt out, they're just staring off into space, zoning out. They gave an example of sometimes if they've had a busy day and they'll be in the kitchen staring off, holding onto something that needs to be opened, but doesn't open it. And Cat will just come in and open it for them. And ER will just be like "awww". Drew said they both match each other's freak.

LA was ER's favourite tour place to date. Cause it's a hard crowd, but they also had friends and family out in the crowd to support them. Performing in LA meant a lot to them. Cause they felt so much what they called disappointment management. Convincing themselves cause it was a tough crowd, fans are going to hate it so they have to work hard to win the crowd over. And ER didn't want fans to have a bad time either. So they zeroed in for LA, and the LA crowd reciprocated the energy.

ER felt grateful like people were singing along, bopping along and enjoying their music. People were moshing along as well. Some kids were even wig yanking lol. It was a fun atmosphere. ER also mentioned how their fan base is truly diverse in all the ways. How at every show there were Grey's fans there too and a lot of fans with disabilities. And ER was touched that their fans were there and had such a diverse fan base. They said it's not always or often they get to meet fans especially if they're doing stuff on tv. But playing music and performing gives them a chance to meet the fans and have that interaction.

ER is grateful for their fans, they don't care if they know them solely from Grey's or from their music or both. They don't care if fans come to their shows cause they know them from Grey's. They're just happy to share their work. ER is happy that fans enjoy themselves at their shows, and find community amongst other people also there. ER is just glad that the fans do enjoy their work and art that they were making for themselves and others. They said watching people actively experience and consume their art is what keeps them going.

Drew and ER are talking about why men just don't get women, like don't appreciate women. The toxic environment of boys looking up to toxic men that treat women horribly, being indoctrinated by them. They talk about boys seeking emotional validation from toxic masculinity. And they turn out to be toxic men who only look for sex and validation from women. ER mentions that in a queer environment, they're "pulling oil from the earth" not to demand something in return from women, but doing nothing but replenish the woman.

So with Cat, ER is there for her joy. They are there for her everything. They are there for her sex, her stories, her intelligence, all the "soul assets" she has. And they are working hard to "replenish that shit" . ER sees her as a whole person. They're giving her all their energy, making sure their life is interesting, introducing their friends to her, basically including her in their life. And my favourite part, ER is making sure to dress cute at least 60% of the time. They are making sure that they are experiencing the joy of this beautiful person, experiencing her joy. Cause men don't realise how much effort women put into continually giving joy. So the masculine energy needs to match that feminine energy. Be in tune with your feminine energy to give back to your partner and ensures you're giving her joy.

They talk about the feminine shining on the masculine. How masculinity is at its most beautiful when it's in service to femininity. ER mentions Grey's again as an example. How they got a leg up in the Grey's fandom when it came to masculinity servicing femininity. To me, ER was talking about ER and Cat in the moment acting out a scene as Kai and Amelia. And their perspective acting as Kai. Drew and ER were talking about remembering lines but sometimes not remembering all the other lines. And Drew not always knowing how to act when she remembers others' lines. Her technique being remembering the flow of the conversation or scene instead of remembering the whole script line by line.

So ER's jumping in and talking about their technique. Like them knowing their lines, knowing how they want to act it out, responding to someone else's acting with your own emotions while listening. So Grey's was the example they used. ER was working on Kai's arc, Cat (little woman) as Amelia was helping them accomplish it. Just curios didn’t E.R refer to their partner as “the little woman” before and yes I know you can use that to more then one person but it’s funny that they use the exact same expression for Caterina being their screen-partner on the greys set. Of course we know their partner is Cat and people who don’t know or still think/believe Cat is married wouldn’t get the reference using the same words for their RL partner and their screen-partner

No matter how much you don't like other cast members being brought up OP is right. Cat just is never going to leave on her own volition and because she doesn't cause trouble on set I doubt she's going to get fired either. So in the conversation of which cast member is going to leave it just makes sense that it would be Ellen because of everything OP listed or honestly maybe James just because of how old he is. I mean the man is 70

Thank you for the great summary, indeed. And such posts did not only summarize the wonderful topics ER talked about but also how you captured ER beautiful mind. Particularly that topic how they live for Caterina and does things with her in mind (remind me of an old song by Bryan Adams.. everything I do I do it for you). and how they worked so hard for the LA show to maximize their fans’ experience.

I literally woke up this morning thinking it’s been some days so could be time for a new episode with E.R as a guest and then I come on here and see the link so you made my day I like the pod and could have listened to it longer

Just curios didn’t E.R refer to their partner as “the little woman” before and yes I know you can use that to more then one person but it’s funny that they use the exact same expression for Caterina being their screen-partner on the greys set. Of course we know their partner is Cat and people who don’t know or still think/believe Cat is married wouldn’t get the reference using the same words for their RL partner and their screen-partner


I follow Dylan and look at all her story’s but never saw her mentioning that E.R would be on her pod so curios how to you know they will be a guest (of course I hope they will unfortunately they are not on the one that was published today)

Hollywood reporter article that announced Dylan’s podcast listed ER as an anticipated guest. The post is also on Dylan’s ig.

The pod today was great! I love Drew anyway, and also loved when ER was on her podcast last time.

ER has referred to their partner as "little lady" and "tiny little thing" before. And has also referred to Cat as Amelia as "powerful little neurosurgeon" before as well. They may well even call her that in real life, they tweeted about it once in response to a fan. Could just be a joke. But they've never called her "little woman" previously I don't think. But someone correct me if I'm terribly wrong.

On the pod, ER was referring to Cat as Amelia when they said "little woman", not Cat their partner. ER has referred to Cat, either as Amelia or as their partner, as being little since the beginning . Even before they were dating. It just so happens that the person playing Amelia and ER's partner is the same person. Even if a lot of people still don't know that.

Yeah James and Chandra are probably going to be there til the very end. They started with this show, and they said they'll stay with it until it ends. I can also see the other vets like Camilla, Kevin and Cat sticking out til the end too. Vets like Kevin is happy doing one or two side quests and projects during breaks. So I can't see someone like him leaving on his own free will. But I think Cat will stick it out til the very end too. She loves the show and more importantly Amelia too much to just leave without a real good reason.

I'm interested to see how long the show lasts because it kind of seems like it's winding down slowly between only having Ellen in eight episodes a season for the past 2-3 seasons and not having the vets in every single episode when there's only 18 episodes per season now.

I want to say I give it one maybe two more seasons but it would be kind of cool to see them go get to 500 episodes and to achieve that they would have to do 25 seasons but have the 25th and last season only be 8 episodes long if they wanted to stop at 500 even.
