Inevitable 🤣

But be prepared for crumbs. She's not that into social media

Her friend Charlotte Hansen and sometimes her dad are probably the most reliable sources.

You cant ask that, because you will be called a sick, perverted person. You cant ask about her friends either. You cant ask about her personal life at all. In fact , we should close all personal threads because to even think of a person means you are a dangerous sicko

I am only 50% joking

Thank you for the thread. It was inevitable since everyone keeps complaining when we mention her but this is going to die after bottoms since she has absolutely no social media presence

Thank God we have her co-stars who post sometimes pics with her. 😂 😂 😂
But who knows, maybe she will do some public profile one day. 😁

Ok so from a recent review about Bottoms, Hazel is described as "sweet, naive slacker", and as far as we know she is also a masc lesbian and bomb-obsessed. "Bomb obsessed" but "sweet" sounds so funny to me.

But another review said that "A character played by Ruby Cruz (who gives the most consistently vulnerable performance of the film) is constantly the butt of intentional and accidental jokes". I'm really interested on how that will play out because Ruby is so great at playing vulnerability, like, just look at that face! lol. "the great Ruby Cruz as Hazel, a young woman who’s pushed aside by PJ and Josie’s quest for inclusion." PJ is described as mean so lol. So we have "vulnerable, sweet, naive slacker, butt of jokes" interesting interesting :hmmm:

Anyway, it's obviously an exaggerated and ridiculous comedy, but I'm way more curious now. Some reviews put her as a stand out along Havana Rose Liu and one of the guys (after the two leads, who are the most praised of course). I love this one that said: "Ruby Cruz is also hilarious as P.J. and Josie’s close confidante, carrying one of the film’s funniest jokes (which may or may not involve her unhealthy obsession with bombs) on her shoulders with ease."

I really hope this movie gives her a good projection in the film scene

 And tomorrow is its second festival screening, I don't know if we will get more interviews but at least some more reviews I'm sure. I'm waiting for the trailer but they are taking their sweet time with trailers and promo material of the film, but let's hope :fingcross:

I don't think so, it's the same SXSW Festival, it seems (someone correct me if I'm wrong), and they already did interviews for that festival. Just probably more reviewers will watch it, then we'll see if they announce a theatrical release or something, a trailer, stills, something. Or maybe just nothing :-/

If anything she might be doing herself a favour by staying off social media. This site has it's shares of enough crazies that I don't need going on social media and likely being driven insane even more. I'm sure many people feels the same way. Plus we know where all the pro Big Pharma tranny crowds tend to hang out and best she stays away from them and they don't try and corrupt Ruby with their idiocy.

Wait what? I'm speechless...

I thought it was a sure thing Willow was going to be announced to be renewed at Star Wars celebration and that's why it was taking so long to hear back about this show.

If anything this surprised me most because it was going against the pattern Disney was using at the moment to save money:
- Cancel the bottom end performing series that already had 2 seasons to try and impress that barely made any noise (Mysterious Benedict Society, Mighty Ducks Gamer Changer, Big Shot, etc)
- Go after the big franchises instead where not cancel, but just delay and stretch out their releases. Noticeable example was Marvel where Iger was postponing the releases so Marvel just have 5 releases this year instead of 8. Therefore the money to those expensive Marvel projects can go somewhere else.
- Release more smaller and medium budget films to theaters and hope for the best.

This is like something Netflix would've done. Okay I'm going to search up the reasons here. Hope this has nothing to do with either Antman 3 badly underperforming or that most of Willow's ratings came from international places outside the US. If a save the show campaign is started, I'll be part of it, but probably use different methods than what the typical twitter crowd will think. If Futurama can be brought back alive for the 3rd time or whatever number it is, anything is possible.

I'm sorry to say this, but Disney is a monster of a company, they don't care about fans or representation, they only care about money. Campaigns don't really help unless is a more popular show (profitable). I won't tell anyone what to do or not to do something, but if you are going to campaign, just take all of that in mind.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with this. It's just about the money for them and Disney is cutting costs big time. For the Willow cancellation, above all, I'd say that it's mostly bad timing. If the show was up for a renewal decision e.g. this time last year or 2 years ago, it would most likely get a second season.

Willow was likely a casualty of Antman 3's box office failure because just a few days ago (March 9) Iger said they have to "reassess" their movie and TV slate. First victim of this reassessment was Willow. The show was likely a bit pricey, so they went after it.

Well they'll have more and more of those and they can try and cut losses elsewhere (e.g. Willow), instead of looking for better writers and non-recycled movie content, but that won't help them much. They pretty much burned the OG Star Wars to the ground (and let's be honest, it's the only Star Wars that the casual audience knows or cares about) and they're exhausting the rest of it with like 15 Star War shows. There's only so much Star Wars content even the biggest nerd can absorb. The same goes for Marvel stuff... They need a better business plan, that's what they need. Iger just wants to make more of the "same ol' best hits" but it will fail. They need more diverse library or they'll implode.

Too bad that Willow probably had to suffer because of them not seeing the forest from the trees.

Out of curiosity, how long does it take to prepare for these events? Say celebrities who go to the Oscars, how many hours do they have to go through just for the make-up? Because with all the special effects nowadays in film to change the actors' appearance, surely some of these products can also be applied to make celebrities look younger in public. And of course there's the lighting and photoshop in photos. But I imagine that to apply foundation it takes hours, just for the make-up, nevermind the hair and so on.

Yeah Iger is doing the whole "same ol' best hits" routine. Because part of that "reassessment" was also announcing Toy Story 5 and Frozen 3 are in production. Like are you kidding me? Despite the money it made, people criticized Toy Story 4 for it's weak story and that it didn't really have any real direction. Likely played a part in Lightyear's poor box office. Frozen might have some left in the gas tank, but exhausting the popularity of their billion dollar franchises is not the way to go.

Speaking of exhausting popularity, Disney's next big movie is another entry in the Disney disaster remake collection. This time the Little Mermaid. Those films are so hit or miss with audiences and box office numbers. I think 2 or 3 of them managed to enter the billion dollar club while others only made 200 million. Those disaster remakes are the definition of lazy writing. The irony being the disaster remakes started from Maleficent which wasn't even a remake, but a alternate retelling of the Snow White story.

Some of you with the Disney conservation everywhere is tiresome. I get bringing it in regards or Willow since our girl was part of it, but then talking about SW, Marvel, Iger and shit, it is tiresome. Maybe open a thread about Disney or something, or keep it to the Willow thread, I don't like to read it there either but that's where that conversation is going. We are here for our girl Ruby.

I second this. One thing what makes me sad is that we don't have a chance to thank her for her work. I hope she somehow gets all the positive messages from fans. 😔😔
Anyway, she's so adorable 🥺🥺❤️❤️

Is she gay?
We have reasons to believe she isn't. But she does like girls. Bisexual is the safest bet given what we know.
What are the reasons?
