Well, Gaga is Italian. And a Catholic. So probably foreign to him.guest wrote: ↑20 Jan 2021, 16:47Some dumbass Trump supporter on tiktok the other day was asking why they were letting a foreigner sing the national anthem. She's American. Born in NYC. This guy legit thought she was from another country. Also Biden's a catholic and JFK was a catholic.Guest wrote: ↑20 Jan 2021, 16:51Well, Gaga is Italian. And a Catholic. For all the seniors who walked the stairs, it was madam VP who almost tripped walking on the stairs. LolGuest wrote: ↑20 Jan 2021, 16:57Watching these senior citizens walking up and down these steps makes me nervous, ngl
She looked great tho.
Re: 2020 US Presidential Election; read thread rules before posting
I like that the camera showed McConnell when Biden was talking about lies.
Re: 2020 US Presidential Election; read thread rules before posting
I love the color of Mademe VP's coat. Blue for Democrats. But make it electric.
Re: 2020 US Presidential Election; read thread rules before posting
She looked a little bit nervous, she was watching those steps intensely.
It's cute how as tough as she is, at times (like how she looked a little nervous at her speech at the convention) you can tell she feels how big the moment is.
Re: 2020 US Presidential Election; read thread rules before posting
anyone notice justice sotomayor accidentally mispronounced Kamala. she did the Ka-MA-la thing. I've heard a lot of people do that.

Reminded me of the Key and Peele sketch where the politician is giving the speech about gay rights, and the cameraman keeps following around one guy in the audience.

Yes and then you hear Kamala say it the right way when she repeats it. As someone whose name is easy to pronounce, but easier to mispronounce, I was annoyed for her. She's used to it, but one would hope that on the biggest stage they'd get it right.Guest wrote: ↑20 Jan 2021, 17:11anyone notice justice sotomayor accidentally mispronounced Kamala. she did the Ka-MA-la thing. stop hugging old people Garth! there's a pandemic.
Re: 2020 US Presidential Election; read thread rules before posting
I was at Trump's inauguration four years ago, and the difference in my emotional state is completely 180 between then and today. Watching Kamala Harris, in suffragette purple, being sworn in by Justice Sotomayor just moved me beyond words.
Love that HRC, MO, and KH are all in purple today. Not only is it one of the suffragette colors, I think it's also a nod to unity (red + blue = purple).
What a day. What a dark, awful four years it's been. What a relief that it's now over.

You have no idea how relieved I was to watch the inauguration today, without drama or conspiracy. It gave me hope.
Also, Amanda Gorman’s poem

That's good to know. I think a lot of people think country singers are going to be closed minded so I like to hear about the ones that are good people.Steampunk Kitty wrote: ↑20 Jan 2021, 17:24I’m not a country fan either but that guy has gone to bat for the LGBT community since the 90’s.guest wrote: ↑20 Jan 2021, 17:17I'm not a country music fan but Garth has a pleasant voice.

He's a little goofy, but he's always been pretty openly liberal, which takes balls for a country singer.
