It's ironic that the only person that answered OP is one of the very few that didn't like the game. Op, Horizon Zero Dawn is an amazing game. You're very lucky. Playing that game for the first time while in quarantine would be amazing.Guest wrote:HZD seemed like exactly the kind of game that I'd like, but I just couldn't connect with it at all. I'm one of those who loved it, my only gripe with the game is that they hint at romance but you can't actually romance anybody, including that rad Oseram girl that flirted me into oblivion and that other obviously gay Banuk girl in the DLC. Not fair at all, the rest is all great, the gameplay is fun and the story was surprisingly good.Guest wrote:HZD seemed like exactly the kind of game that I'd like, but I just couldn't connect with it at all. I went into it thinking "what kind of shit is this thing, robot dinosaurs and tribal people, I only bought it because the PC is a girl and my friend won't stop pestering me" and came out of it with one of the best backstories I've ever seen in a game, some ugly crying, a powerful crush for one side character and hours of enjoyment of the protagonist's sass.
I loved DAI when it came out. Played through it like 4 times and had countless others that made it part way through. I know I'm in the minority but I loved Sera.Guest wrote:After the disappointment that is Naughty Dog, I began a new game of DAI to pass the time. It's actually a good looking game despite its age.

Is it your first playthrough? I'd give anything to go back and play that game for the first time. I've loved it so much. Leliana, Morrigan and Allistar were so great and their banter was so funny. The other companions were great too. I'd kill for them to do a remaster with the frostbite engine.Guest wrote:I've been playing DAO for about... maybe 30 hours? I do think the combat system is well designed and interesting. The only problem is there're tooooo many encounter battles... Maybe I should research the tactic system in order not to waste time on every single battle.
Yes, the first time. I started to play because a netfriend had recommended DA series many times. She said her favourite of DA is its worldbuilding, people and the culture.Guest wrote:Is it your first playthrough? I'd give anything to go back and play that game for the first time. I've just completed the main quests of Ostagar, Lothering and Circle Mage so I don't know much about my companions but Leliana is interesting. I first got a crush on Morrigan as she's powerful, tough and beautiful. But after some events I knew she's not the cold-outside-but-warm-inside kind, she seems to regard power as the most important so I was not that into her. At that point Leliana started to catch my attention. Clearly she has a complicated and mysterious background, and high EQ, and an interest in females :$ .
I will forever laugh at "Her Ladyship Mai Bhalsych of Korse". I took Sera to the Winter Palace because I figured she'd do something funny, but I wasn't expecting that.Guest wrote:She grew up so much in the trespasser dlc. Getting married grounded her. Wow, I wish I could play this game already... but I told myself I'd wait till I can get it for at least half the initial price. And after I heard that it's so short, I'm thinking maybe it's really better to wait.

A lot of people found Sera immature but I thought her sense of humour was hilarious. Her banter killed me. All the other companions were way too serious.

Honestly, we've reached the point where you're wondering why Sony/Microsoft are still producing consoles. These consoles aren't game changers in any way. People only buy them for the game exclusives. Sony/Microsoft are essentially software companies. At least, Nintendo gives you something unique in comparison in terms of hardware.

Yes I think so, even though it's a big open world game it ends up feeling more like an epic interactive HBO western than anything else.Guest,Apr 7 2020, 10:19 PM wrote:Is RDR2 worth buying half off in current time? It's a good game, honest I'd wait a bit more for the price to drop further and play some other older games now, there are a billion games on sale at the moment. Like you can literally get 5 or 6 games for the price of one.Guest,Apr 7 2020, 10:19 PM wrote:Is RDR2 worth buying half off in current time? I'm the exact same. Its an absolutely wonderful game. And when I thibk about it I think "god that twas so good". My brain loves it- but my heart just never connected. But I still love it. Something about the aesthetic doesn't quite click for me. It's all very pretty, but it doesn't feel lived in or something.SallyDonuts wrote:I'm the exact same. Its an absolutely wonderful game. I've been playing the Dragon Age series during quarantine, I'm currently on Inquisition which I'd only played once before, so I decided to try the templar quest 'cause I chose the mages in my previous playthrough.
Having played both of them now, it's such a shame you can't do both of them in the same playthrough, 'cause those are two of the most interesting and engaging quests in the whole game.

I have. I really liked it. The story was good if a bit short, but I guess for this type of game it was an average duration, I'm too used to playing RPGs. I played it on PC but with a gamepad and thought the combat was super fun.cmd wrote:Has anybody played Fallen Order? How do you like it? I have it in my backlog, but I'm still working on Ara Fell.
There is a bit of exploration that you have to do and if you're a completionist the backtracking can get a bit tedious. Though I wish they had added more planets.

I still can't finish Fallout 4. All that settlement nonsense put me off. I have one that's literally called "Enough about settlements Preston", lol
There's one on PS4, it gives all settlements cement walls with just one entrance. It helps so much with the defense. I also have one for unlimited shipping materials, which helps me create anything that is needed.ConfusedBystander wrote:Any recommendations?Scarf wrote:Mods help alotConfusedBystander wrote:I still can't finish Fallout 4. High defenses and happy settlers rarely get attacked in my experience.

I'm dividing my time between Dragon Age: Inquisition, Stardew Valley and DiRT 4. When I'm done with one of them (not SV) I'm thinking about playing either Battlefield: Hardline or A Plague Tale: Innocence.knossos wrote:what has everyone been playing lately.................i've just platted nioh 2 and am unlocking terraforming on anicro:nh personally

I got so bored with Animal Crossing that I'm almost tempted to sell my copy of the game. There's too much grinding for resources.
My pronouns are Cash/App and Venmo/me
have you played DA:I before? i can barely remember most things that happened in it tbh except that cassandra rejected me and i went crying to josephine. what're your thots on that and SV?ConfusedBystander wrote:I'm dividing my time between Dragon Age: Inquisition, Stardew Valley and DiRT 4. on alien, weirdly, i HATE horror movies but i love horror games, idk why? i think the agency the game gives you over the situation makes me feel more in control over the situation, which takes a lot of the suspense out cuz i can just pause it or like successfully run away so it's fine
i started botw when it first came out then got immediately distracted by something else; a good friend of mine proper rates it though so i've been meaning to go back to itShelby wrote:I've been enjoying Pokemon and BOTW on my Switch

agreed on anicro tho, it's taken me sooo long to even get to my 10th villager because i keep getting bored of the central game loop & you can't even binge it without quitting out of your game every hour to time travel
decided to abandon personality traits altogether
