When I worked making food magazines, we used to shoot the Christmas issues in July, so you would enter the office and see all these Christmas food/decorations. It was literal Christmas in July.
You can't just drop this incredible new nugget of anon backstory lore in the last post of the previous page so casually :nails:
 but I think I had alluded to this before? It was very Bon Appetit's Test Kitchen-y.

Also: yes. It was every bit as awesome as it sounds, because we got to bring everything home afterwards.

YT recommended me a video of a Japanese guy, who makes food from various fish and sea animals. At first I thought it will be a simple cooking show...you know, sushi and all that stuff, but it started with some sea crab and few hours later I'm watching him cutting wide open shark and now.....aligator.

He goes to extremes to check how those animals taste...rare species etc. The channel clearly is not for everyone, but what's so fascinating about it is his curiosity and knowledge. Instead of cooking show, you ended up with a bonkers biology lessons and you learning about things you never seen or heard about. :blinkwide:

One of the Russian gymnasts I follow on IG posted this. I assume it's a lighthouse? Anyway it looks pretty cool! There should be one in the corn castle.

That's a water tower. Still pretty though.
Oh, a water tower? Huh. Yeah pretty neat!

Started "Willow" on D+ and I can't...I'm so emontional about it. The movie is one of my faves of all time. 30 minutes into the first episode and the series already smells like a winner. God, I'm so happy... :bigcry:

Joanne Whalley, seeing her, looking amazing. I was so in love with her and her character. Sooo beautiful. Val Kilmer who?
I was a kid, so obviously I didn't read the sign back then. Lol it was simply a woman of my dreams. That's all.
Love this for you anon. ^_^

For some reason the decorations in people's homes don't bother me, but the way-to-early displays in stores make me clutch my pearls. It's like "I see you trying to extend the season to make more money you capitalist pigs! You don't really care about the spirit of the holiday!" Image
THEY don't need the fun little pick me up of the blinky lights! It's different!

Average day was pretty normal for a media company... At the end of the day, an office is an office. BUT the best thing was having a fully equipped kitchen at our disposal at all times. We had free range of all the equipment and food in it.

More than once, when we had leftover eggs from a shooting I made a cake for my coworkers.

Having chefs coming and going was fun, too. Mid-morning I would go to the creative director's table lik, "hey, are you done with the [insert dish here]? Can we eat it now?"

Oh, and maybe once a month I would make these "gift baskets" out of all the (non-perishable) leftover products and organize a draw, so everyone in the office got to take stuff home, but everyone got the same value/number of things. Fun times.

This has randomly convinced me that the Corn Castle needs an observatory.

Something like this perhaps?

An observatory! Of course!

"Corn Castle" isn't fancy enough for the architecture we're developing here though. We're moving into Château du Cornè territory.

Jfc they've gone WAY up. I just finished a lesson that took about 50 seconds and then had to sit through a solid minute of ads for some junk free to play game to move on.

I’m sorry but how do “hints” not equal development???? I mean by a technical writing definition, the hints at the beginning show how the relationship develops over time. Going from point A to B. I would argue that they weren’t hints but story beats.

Please note I’m not trying to change your view on the show, just I disagree that Avatrice had no build up. I think that it’s a good example of a relationship growing organically within the story when the focus isn’t necessarily romance.
