Agree with everything you said, except the "at least" part. There's no at least. We deserve better, we deserve to be respected as audience, look at how many f/f shows has been canceled this year without having at least a second chance to grow. When was the last time you watched a queer show that lasted longer than 4 seasons? I honestly can't remember. That's why I fight so hard for this show. Cause if a extraordinary show like WN can't last, I don't see a promising future for queer representation, even more so in the streaming era.Guest wrote: ↑29 Nov 2022, 21:43It's a big drop but I don't think it's worth obsessing over. It's still Top 10; Wednesday just stole viewers from almost everything and set a new one-week record. Either Netflix takes things like the $0 spent on promo, insane competition, and super high audience reviews into effect, or they don't. We don't know. We also don't know what the completion rate looks like, and that's huge. I wouldn't bother streaming every single day, tbh, but just keep doing what you'd normally be doing with a show you like and talking about it online, helping get the word out to potential new viewers. We didn't hear about the season two renewal for six weeks, and that wasn't even a holiday season -- we might not find out about Warrior Nun until after Christmas. That could actually work out well for us if it's a slow burn, word of mouth thing (which it seems to be, as it's been climbing back into some top 10s).
So, tldr: It ain't over til it's over; there's still a ton of data we don't have and we don't know how Netflix weighs it; Netflix may not announce either way for six weeks or more; just keep enjoying the fandom.
(Also, worst case is that it doesn't get renewed, but at least then we know Ava is already back and we'll never even risk the possibility of seeing Ava or Bea die for real, haha.)

Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
How was the avatrice kiss written and was the forehead kiss on the script?
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
^ I’m sure that anon is not a Warrior Nun stan so just ignore she sounds exactly like the troll that’s been trying to annoy this thread
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
I think it's genuinely adorable that you guys are chiding the troll so nicely. This fandom is almost too wholesome.
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
That scene where Ava fell from the building and Bea was crying, was there something in the script about Ava wanting to kiss Bea or was that just Alba's interpretation of the scene?
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
Was there any info on the script why Ava was caressing the bed?
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
Hey hey I don't like this negativity guys.
I know things could be going and looking better but don't be throwing the towel and giving up just yet.
It ain't over till it's over.

Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
IA, how does Mary's leaving change the lines of other characters? Who got most of her lines?
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
The numbers do look bad if seen as just pure numbers but to lift people's spirits a bit, the show is approximately 6 hours of content so the fact that it has been watched for around 66M hours in 3 weeks in the middle of so many big releases with actual promo (and a whole lot of it too) isn't a bad look (obviously this is just if all the things surrounding it are taken into consideration, from the 0 promo to all the other stuff released at the same time, from the relatively unknown so I iamgine fairly cheap cast to the tax breaks they get from filming in Spain). Consider for example that, of some of the shows ahead of us, The Crown has 10 episodes that are all over 50 minutes (and even this had a 50% drop due to Wednesday), or that Manifest s1 has 16 episodes and Manifest s3 13 so there's just more hours to watch.
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
Thanks, IA! Is there any chance you've seen the original script when Mary was still in it? It would be fascinating to learn what changes were made after Toya had to drop out...
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
All excellent points. I think most of my anxiety just comes from my lack of faith in netflix to make the right call, more than anything else, which is why i want more media coverage to help hold them accountableGuest wrote: ↑29 Nov 2022, 22:27The numbers do look bad if seen as just pure numbers but to lift people's spirits a bit, the show is approximately 6 hours of content so the fact that it has been watched for around 66M hours in 3 weeks in the middle of so many big releases with actual promo (and a whole lot of it too) isn't a bad look (obviously this is just if all the things surrounding it are taken into consideration, from the 0 promo to all the other stuff released at the same time, from the relatively unknown so I iamgine fairly cheap cast to the tax breaks they get from filming in Spain). Can you give a few examples?

Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
Any insights into how the script changed after Mary's departure? I've seen Kristina mentioned that a lot changed. Thanks!
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
SA. Oh I have 0 faith in Netflix too unfortunately, it was just to lighten the mood a bit, but let's keep doing what we've been doing and hope that Netflix doesn't just look at the hard and cold numbers but also other factors beyond the sole completion rate.Guest wrote: ↑29 Nov 2022, 22:33All excellent points. Episode 7?? I'm glad for the additional promotion, but I think this disingenuous and might turn people off.Guest wrote: ↑29 Nov 2022, 23:04
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
Disagree with Alex I’ve loved every bit of Season 1 I never found it slow lol but any promo is still promo
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
Please don't be discouraged. It's not over until it's over. Until then, I'll keep streaming it all day, two different accounts on two different devices. If you are able, I hope you'll do the same.
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
I got that lol it was a reference to Miley's gif but I understand if you can't say it IA
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
But it seems like the pattern for some people for season 1 tho. Some find it slow for the first 4 episodes, some for the first 7 episode. I think it's a good thing despite all that they can finish it until season 2Guest wrote: ↑29 Nov 2022, 23:28Disagree with Alex I’ve loved every bit of Season 1 I never found it slow lol but any promo is still promo
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
I'd accept a six-episode season to close the series. I'd accept even a movie to wrap it up at the moment...
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
Haha I'd accept anything, but I do think a 10 episode run would be ideal. I don't see how they can wrap up a Holy War arc in 6 episodes or a movie.Guest wrote: ↑29 Nov 2022, 23:39I'd accept a six-episode season to close the series. I'd accept even a movie to wrap it up at the moment...
Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
Making the whole show about preventing it from starting. This would fill six episodes nicely. Preventing the thing rather than show it developing.Guest wrote: ↑29 Nov 2022, 23:47Haha I'd accept anything, but I do think a 10 episode run would be ideal. Re: Warrior Nun (Netflix - S2 out now)
Guys i know the world is hard and unforgiving but the war is not over yet. WN has a low budget so i think thats one good factor for it to get a renewal, and i truly believe that it will get S3 whether it might be its final season or maybe more seasons depending on netflix's decision.
It has been 20 days, hopefully we will be put out of our misery soon before we're getting too old lmao

What big things did they change for Mary?
And do you know if the team is optimistic about a renewal?
