I'm permanently banned from a thread where I've never write ANY comment and just lurk from time to time. So I want to know why?

does anyone know why i keep randomly getting IP banned from the entire website??? i dont post nor do i spend more than 15 minutes on here. what am i doing wrong? is it happening to anyone else? im so confused!

Just use a vpn. Sometimes it's not really your fault. Shared IPs and IP ranges could cause it.

When I use WiFi I can access the board. But when I use cellular data it reports I am banned. (It’s been this way for 2 years I just assumed it was common, but I don’t think so now!).

Reg up and PM STMTH, AlexCabot or .JPG your IP address, so that they can see why you were banned.

Cellular data provides dynamic public IP addresses, which have been used by other individuals (probably banned multiple times on the l chat) and vary each time the data is turned on or off.

The majority of home-installed WiFi is more private and gives you a static IP that is only used by your household.

Dear mods,
I am a regular poster on the IRENE thread. I made these posts:

among others. I am a legit fan and support her on multiple platforms. Yesterday, I made the mistake of engaging with an individual with strong opinions about how the thread should be run, about changing attitudes toward the group, in-group shipping. I really regret engaging with them and making any potentially inflammatory posts. I am genuinely sorry for causing any trouble, I was personally having a tough time and decided to argue unnecessarily. I really value the IRENE thread as a space to discuss her/her career in a focused way and respectfully ask that you reconsider the banning of my IP address. Going forward, I promise to not engage in any arguments of that sort and simply stick to supporting the celebrity who I like a lot. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Was happening with me too but only when I wasnt Connected to Wifi for some reason. When I’m on wifi it’s not banned

Reg up and PM a mod your IP address. That way, the reason for the banning can be determined.

Mods- a post has been deleted in the British politics thread that was completely on topic about insurance costs rising and absolutely has to do with the current economic climate. The anon has been banned as well apparently for posting it. What’s going on?

A mod flagged that IP as belonging to HK Phooey. A permabanned personality that's long haunted LChat. It's not unusual for any and all posts from a banned user to be deleted.

I’m not HKP! I am a Scot but there’s more than one of us on here. I’ve been here for at least 8 years.
I frequent that thread a bit, and often have convos with Dizz (though not seen her for a bit) and Dragonfish. I’d like to think they realise I’m not HKP! Pretty sure HKP doesn’t talk to Chickster on the cat feet thread

Thanks for your quick response JPG. I don’t know who’s who, was just querying the deletion of that specific post because I thought there was an issue with the post, but thanks for explaining
