Isn't she his sister? It was hilarious though. And so cute and dumb but cute. I LOVE THEM AND I LOVE THIS. The writers are really giving us the lesbian romcom we need and I can't believe it's an NCIS show

She dont even know them and she is already the biggest fan.
Should be one more for the team
Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
When this thread opened up, after the first episode, I remember thinking that this would amount to almost nothing. I am so glad I was wrong.

Went to see the first post and lol. The amount of progress from here
Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
A nice surprise never hurt anybody

Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
And Lucy… what was your plan here!! Being all sad and alone waiting for Kate to arrive and then what?!! If she had not come singing?!!
Lucy was just so ready too
Lucy was just so ready too
Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
When Alina said: 'you are very serious... and tall,' I thought she was going to say and 'hot' because of the way she looked at Whistler.

Having everyone happy and cheering for them was cherry on top.
And i can’t get over them just staying there dancing
Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
In hindsight, the song choice in that first kissing scene seems very deliberate. It's totally foreshadowing their relationship and the happy ending:
Our day will come
And we'll have everything
We'll share the joy
Falling in love can bring
No one can tell me that I'm too young to know
I love you so
And you love me
Our day will come
If we just wait a while
No tears for us
Think love and wear a smile
There were quite a few tears along the way, but everything worked out in the end.
I struggle to put into words how happy I am with their story. Someone here said a few days ago that it was like a romcom in series form and I could not agree more. It wasn't perfect, but very close to it. And I'm actually looking forward to season 2. It's going to be a whole new dynamic for them and I can't wait to see it.
Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
Lols. Yes girl. Also I can tell what other fandoms you belong to. This plot totally surprised me and in a good way. It's so nice to have your ship not cheat or want babies.Guest wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 03:30I will build an altar at their feet is they give us an organic relationship within the show that is not tainted by lies, cheating, work transfers or the good old "I want kids/You don't" plot device. Just let them fucking be for once.Guest wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 03:26This writer's team really gets it
What’s Lucy and Kate’s relationship like moving forward?
Our goal for this relationship was always that it feel like it was just an organic part of the show and of these characters’ lives. Obviously we just started working on Season 2, but now that we have, what we are really talking about at the beginning of the season is — not that they don’t have issues, they clearly had some issues, but we’re not going to live in those issues. We’re going to live in the space of what does their relationship look like? At the beginning of the season, we’re really just focusing on that. What is it that they want from a relationship and how does that get embodied in our television show?

Their story really has that romcom aspect to it, that vibe of two people meant to be who meet in certain circunstances and then there is conflict and they can't be together but everyone knows they belong together and the nuances of all the tropes that they have.
But it's really well done, filled with chemistry, passion, beautiful moments.
It really was that confort lesbian pairing where I never had to worry about their faith to be honest lol
I'm looking forward to season 2 (and others) cause these two are endgame for life so it's really about just life as it is.

Ngl, it was cringe af when Kate started singing, I was embarrassed, but when Lucy walked away and Kate raised her voice, I got teary eyed

Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
At first they didn't match as a couple to me but now I am totally in love with them. I'm looking forward to seeing their new dynamic as official couple.
Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
It's actually funny cause when the clip was released last week, I felt it a bit awkward, dunno if cringe, but awkward and didn't see it all at first.Guest wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 10:29Ngl, it was cringe af when Kate started singing, I was embarrassed, but when Lucy walked away and Kate raised her voice, I got teary eyed![]()
but last night watching the episode, it's like it all made sense and it was so heartfelt, no awkwardness, just a lot of expectation.
maybe cause i was already waiting for it? maybe cause it the whole scene and episode it was more fitting?
but it got more deeper in the my feelings than I expected.
Also the way Lucy wanted so much Kate to be there, and her face of not knowing what to do, it made a lot more sense.
Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
NCIS: New Orleans was way ahead of it's time. I'm glad that NCIS: HAWAI'I is doing Kacy right. I love crime show but there's no lesbian or sapphic and mostly dominated by m*n. I love this show.
Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
Kate telling Lucy that they want her to keep signing
She’s such a dork even in that moment.
If this show gets 3 or 4 seasons we’re getting an engagement scene or even a wedding. I said what I said.

Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
This is the first couple since Avalance that I'm not worried about. I think this is the next show that we can trust in terms of a f/f relationship. It looks like they're going to be front and center and I'm here for this.

Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
I love her silliness. She's this skilled FBI agent but when it comes to everyday life, she's awkward and accidentally funny.Guest wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 11:55I love the way they keep inserting humour in their moments, it feels so legit and it shows their cumplicity.Guest wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 11:29Kate telling Lucy that they want her to keep signingShe’s such a dork even in that moment.

And then we have Lucy, who's a strong woman and a bad-ass NCIS agent and then she's jealous of Alina, and she's a grumpy wallflower because Kate hasn't entered the room.
They're perfect for each other.
Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
Kacy going on a date but it gets interrupted by their teams so they end up having the date at home.
Jessie and Kai making fun of Kacy because of them finally getting together.
Kacy moving in together and Kate being all awkward and nervous about it.

But I think it’s actually like an inside joke because they don’t want to use “hot” and they just replace it with “tall” and the subtext is there every time

Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
Ok, I finally got to watch the full episode and oh my god, she sings EVEN LOWDER
And the asking "think they want me to keep singing".
I like that they essentially explained away why Lucy kept telling her to stop talking in previous episodes, as everybody already said, because she new if Kate started talking so wouldn't be able to say no.

Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
I'm rewatching that Kate and Ernie scene and once again I'm amused by Whistler's network of government-employed friends that she can conveniently contact for favors when required by the plot.
From what I recall, there were friends in the FBI in eps. 6 and 13, a friend at National Parks in ep. 15 and now one at FinCEN (which I had to google). She's quite the networker.

I knew I recognized the chick that was playing Alina. I'm showing my age, that movie was 20 years ago. How is that possible?!

Re: NCIS: Hawai'i
Maybe when I started watching this show I didn't have much expectations, but at some points my expectations got really high and I was sure Kacy would end up together so I really was imagning the best.
Yet, the show was always able to surprise me in the best way possible. Especially since episode 16, it's like they gave more and more depth to the ship and you go the finale and they still surprise you with a bunch of stuff you didn't count for.
It's what enterteinment is about and this one for sure deserves the applause.

The last shot of the season on an NCIS show on C - B - S is two women kissing and then dancing while they friends cheer.
