Having read much as all the accusations against Cari Fletcher have flown, I'll say in my opinion that: it must be a nightmare as an artist to put your blood, sweat and tears into an album, and just after you release music you're proud of, you become the center of a firestorm of accusations that you're in a "cult". Not knowing Cari personally, I can say from an outsider looking in that imo, she's definitely an explorer into systems and beliefs that maybe not everyone agrees with - that's who she is - and who she's always been. She's done her best to address the controversy via twitter, and I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, ie that she isn't an "active" member of mms. Maybe she went there and decided it wasn't for her. You're either going to believe her or not. Your choice.
For me personally, I'd like to celebrate her music and artistry. Instead of contributing to ruining what should be a great moment for her. I'm also going to say that the timing of this firestorm of accusations with her album release seems too coincidental to me. In my opinion, it seems like someone with an axe to grind was just waiting to light this up to cause the most damage possible. Do I have proof? No. Receipts? No. Just a timeline, and the fact that this seemed to be a well-known "secret" that didn't blow up until just after her album release. I'm sure putting JarJar (yes that's what I'm going to call him) as an opener at her Australia shows didn't help matters and only fanned the flames. Looks like she's course correcting for that as well. Anyways, just my two cents.
